SOME INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
The ''Sɛtɔ'' community is located in the south of Benin precisely in the township of Porto-Novo,Cotonou,Abomey-Calavi,Avrankou,Ifangni,Akpro-Missérété,Sèmè-Podji,Sô-Ava et Adjarra. She is also in the diaspora,notably in Nigeria, France,Congo, Niger and Gabon. It is distinguished from other ethnic groups in Benin by its mono language “Sɛtɔɖoɖɔmɔnlɔ”. In this site you will have to discover a little of everything about the development of the Sɛtɔ language.
PRESENTATION AND OBJESTIVES OF THE ASSOCIATION
The" SƐTƆGBE Ɔ NYA NUKƆN" association was created on June 25,2021 following the Assembly General of "Sɛtɔ".It is non-profit non-governmental organisation in partnership with Wycliffe Benin. Its objectives are,on the one hand,the promotion and development of" Sɛtɔ" language by producing documents containing collections of tales,proverbs and riddles in "Sɛtɔ". On the other hand, it also works for "Sɛtɔ" literacy and community development and works for the translation of the Bible into "Sɛtɔ" and the promotion of culture. The production of the film Jesus of Nazareth in "Sɛtɔgbe" and the creation of training centers in various fields are also objectives of the said association. The association has it headquarters in the township of "Adjarra" precisely in the district of" Aglogbè" in the village of "Bokovi/Yatoko".
